A New Year Do-Over? Yep, I’m In!
A friend just informed me via Facebook that the Russian calendar shows that the New Year was just this past week. And she also continued to point out, that we could now consider the two weeks we just had gone though as just a “trial period” and we get to just start over…
Interesting.
In a weird kind of way, I liked the way that felt. We get to start over!
So strange that just a little over two weeks into the new year, and I am ready for a re-start. A do-over.
And this is odd in itself because I didn’t really get into making any New Year’s resolutions. Therefore, I haven’t been disappointed in my progress at all – actually, quite the contrary!
So, why would I find this interesting? If I hadn’t fallen down on my resolutions, why would I be be excited?
Not sure…perhaps it’s because I really didn’t make any resolutions to begin with! I simply didn’t want to, nor did I get around to it. Seriously. It sometimes feels so contrived and, honestly, so un-motivating that I wasn’t eager to jump on the resolutions bandwagon.
But now, here I am with this re-start, this do-over in front of me. And, well, two words did stand out for me.
Abundance.
Speaking.
First, abundance in all areas of my life.
Love + Health + Laughter + Relationships + Clients + Biz + Money (and not necessarily in that order). Yep, I said it – abundance in all things, including the “M” word (why are we so afraid of saying that out loud?).
While abundance in all things may seem daunting and just too damn big, my goal is to simply be working on this daily. Something will show up in abundance in my day. I believe in that with all my might. For example, even though I am 30,000 feet in the air right now, I already have had an abundance in my creative energy flow, and I am loving it.
What a gift abundance can be!
Second, speaking.
Yes, standing in front of an audience and talking about me. Yikes! Will anyone even want to hear? Well, we’ll just have to see…I just know that it is time for me to get my story out there.
Send love. And good mojo. TEDx speaker? Yep, I am going for it baby!
One would think this would be easy for me as I previously designed and facilitated national training sessions on various applications working for the government. Speaking in front of a group about my life’s crazy-ass journey would seem a piece of cake compared to the complexity of computer applications! But alas, this is one of my hardest challenges yet. So with the help of a super dynamic speaking coach, I am starting the journey this week to the “big stage”…stay tuned, my friends.
So, in addition to the Vision Board I started creating this week alongside my dynamic friend and fellow wellness coach, Laurie Erdman, with this post I have officially put my two words out there for all to see.
Abundance.
Speaking.
Happy “new” New Year to me, and to you Sunshine!

Tina,
I spent the last few weeks on a vision board, so I know where you are coming from. I have many affirmations on my vision board. A few of my favorites are:
• The Universe flows a constant stream of abundance into all areas of my life.
• I radiate love and light into the Univers and it multiplies as it comes back to me.
• I am making the world a better place by sharing my passion with others.
Feel free to use any of them if the resonate with you.
I am looking for tremendous growth in my business this year resulting in financial and time freedom. I am looking for abundance in all ares of my life too.
Thanks for your post, it gives me another chance to put my intentions out into the universe. I will hold your intentions too.

Love this Heather! Thanks for sharing your love and your abundance here. I feel the power of your intentions and thank you so much for holding mine…you are an amazing force in this world!

I’m with you! I am continuing to work on my resolutions and intentions for the year. And I feel really peaceful with the process. One theme that continues to come up for me is self-care. A few of my vision board phrases: “simple joy” “family moments that last a lifetime” “sanctuary” “shine”

Thanks for sharing Christie! Self-care is super important, as you know from putting together the beautiful “Hot Self-Care Tip” guide that I gave away in December! (By the way, you did an AWESOME job!) And I love the words you have on your vision board…especially ‘sanctuary” and “…last a lifetime”. While these aren’t on my v-board yet, I REALLY resonate with them. Thanks so much for sharing!

Oh, I can relate. I made a list of 10 things I want to have in 2012. Three of those things: Abundance, Passion and Love.
By January 9th, I was done with 2012. I crashed very hard. After some rest, I decided to be easy on myself for the rest of the year. I have a lot going and I need to take care of my health (emotions, body, spirit).
In order for me to get what I want (abundance, passion and love), I have to be easy on myself, enjoy every day and be open to new opportunities.

Brenda…yes, I know we want to hit the ground at 100mph, but is just not realistic and I find it to be very un-motivating because we feel “failure” if it doesn’t happen at breakneck speed. You have such lovely gifts to share with the world…savor them and the experience to be in that abundance each day. It will happen…we both have abundance for 2012!
Love you girl…xo, Tina
I love the idea of do over. Sometimes we don’t get it right the first time. So why stick to that like a dog with a bone. Start anew as often as you need to.
In fact, I realized last year and have booked for this year that a quarterly check in with my goals is necessary. Things change. So maybe we’ll have to do another vision board part in the spring

I wouldn’t change a thing if I had a magic wand and had a do over. I fell honestly that everything happened how it needed to happened and there was a good reason for each. I am perfectly fine where I am at and am totally grateful for it.
I will share that I am very excited for 2012 because it’s going to be such a freaking rocking year for me. I’ve found a great partner to share the stage with holding space for many women, I’ve found another partnership to bring amazing party time to ladies regularly, I’m going to be rocking the mic, playing and so much more.
Thanks for sharing your journey and all that IS. Yay!

I love a do over!
For me two words that are screaming out to me are: self sufficiency and self love. Need to stop beating myself up mentally and after my hurtful divorce I want to stand on my own two feet and be strong! Working on both right now….looking to buy a houseboat and start my Floating Studio Project (as green as I can make it!)which will enable me to open my doors to my community and share my passion with the world via my blog. A little nervous but exciting!! Looking forward to it!!!
Here’s to do over’s!!!
P.S. Speaking in front of the camera is one I need to work on to! xx

Love your words, Tina!
While I haven’t really felt the need for a do-over (yet!), I would say that I have been continually thinking about and refining what I want 2012 to look like. My word for the year is simplicity – and applying it to all areas. Not making things more difficult or challenging or complicated than they need to be. That applies to conversations, relationships, self-care and all areas of my business. (My kids have words too: Open and Excellence – self-chosen by the way!)

Tina, I so needed this because I don’t necessarily want a “do-over” but a fresh start again after 2 weeks. Unlike you, I have set many intentions. One thing that has kept me on track is a daily affirmation I say to myself 25 times a day about my ideal client…and let me tell you, I have had a lot of them flooding in…so great.
I guess that is the thing with abundance right? Abundance leads to more abundance…let’s rock and good luck with speaking…that’s is awesome.
xo, Tracy
Ah yes, Happy New Year!
